Jubilate Deo was commissioned by the Friends of Sheffield Cathedral for Neil Taylor and the Cathedral Choirs to celebrate the opening of the Cathedral’s Community Resources Centre on 6th March 2007.
The semi-chorus should be sung by an ensemble of singers positioned some distance from the main choir.

O be joyful in the Lord, all ye lands :
serve the Lord with gladness, and come before his presence with a song.
