On the verge of releasing their fourth studio album “Piramida” (4AD), Danish indie heavyweights Efterklang are gearing up for an epic scale European concert tour in collaboration with some of the finest orchestras in Europe. The group has engaged composers Karsten Fundal (Choir of Young Believers, Oh Land), Missy Mazzoli (Kronos Quartet, Victoire) and Daniel Bjarnason (Sigur Rós, Múm) to orchestrate their new material for the Piramida Concert tour, taking its name from a Norwegian ghost town which is home to the world’s northernmost grand piano. The Piramida Concert premiered in May at the Sydney Opera House featuring the acclaimed Sydney Symphony to much praise. This fall/winter Efterklang are taking the concert to the UK, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden as well as a quick stopover at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
