- License to perform any of the works in these catalogs, either in whole or in part, must be obtained in writing.
- Reserve materials as far in advance as possible, especially music which may need to be imported. Ordering early assures availability and reduces special shipping charges.
- A service fee is charged if an order is canceled after materials are shipped.

Catalogs
- The 2010 Rental Catalog for North America contains rental works in the
G. Schirmer Rental Library.
- The 2011 Opera/Ballet Handbook lists more than 800 works staged works (Grand Rights) with cast lists, orchestrations, and synopses.
- The Solo and Chamber Music Special Sales Catalog: Print-on-Demand lists works that are not available for sale through retail outlets.
